How to Configure Message and Approve Mode for Submitting Registration?

Edit your current registration form, on the After submission tab, you can configure the confirmation message shown after a customer submits the registration form, the approval mode and approval SLA target.

1. After submission type

This setting configure the confirmation message shown after a customer submits the registration form. There are two display styles available:

  • Default: Replaces the registration form on the current page with a confirmation message.
  • Popup: Displays the confirmation message in a modal pop-up on top of the registration form after it is submitted.

For each display style, you can customize the confirmation title, message content, and button text via Content Elements. These are the building blocks of the confirmation message shown to the buyer, so you can change the success icon, heading, a body message, a button element. Each element can be removed or added a new element by clicking on the Add Element button and selecting the elements to the layout.

  • Success icon
  • Heading: e.g “Thank you for registering!”
  • Message: e.g “Your registration is pending approval. We will notify you by email once your account is approved.”
  • Button: e.g “Continue shopping”

2. Approval mode

This setting determines how customer registration applications are approved.

  • Manual Approval: New registrations are created with a Pending status. Store staff must review each application and manually Approve or Decline it before the customer can access their account.
  • Auto Approval: Customer accounts are approved and created automatically as soon as the registration form is submitted. Customers can sign in immediately using their email address and password, with no manual review required.

When Manual Approval is selected, an additional setting called Approval SLA Target becomes available. This setting defines how long an application can remain in the Pending status before the app sends an internal reminder email to the store admin(up to 3 escalating reminders). For example, if the SLA target is set to 24 hours, any application that has not been reviewed within 24 hours will trigger a reminder. This helps ensure that pending B2B applications are not overlooked.
