Introduction B2B Pricing

Smind B2B provides two pricing options to help you offer customized prices to your B2B customers. You can choose to use either pricing option individually or apply both together, depending on your business needs.
| Wholesale Pricing | Volume Pricing | |
| Who it’s for | Specific customer groups (wholesalers, distributors, B2B customers) | Customer who buys larger quantities |
| How discounts work | Prices are based on the customer’s role or tag | Prices are based on the quantity purchased |
| Price visibility | The discounted price with optional retail strikethrough | A tier table on the product page |
| Use case | B2B stores with approved wholesale accounts | Retail stores encouraging bulk purchases |
1. Wholesale Pricing
Wholesale Pricing applies a fixed discount to products based on the customer’s assigned customer group. The discount remains the same regardless of the quantity purchased. You can configure wholesale pricing as:
- Percentage discount (for example, 20% off)
- Fixed amount discount (for example, $10 off)
- Flat product price (for example, fixed $80 per unit)
Why merchants use?
- Self-serve B2B ordering. Eligible buyers see their negotiated prices the moment they visit your store. No sales rep needed, no manual order creation.
- Multi-tier pricing. Assign different discount levels to different groups. For example, Gold customers see 20% off while Silver customers see 10% off — on the same products.
- Visual save badge. Customers see exactly how much they save compared to retail, which drives higher conversion.
2. Volume Pricing
Volume Pricing offers tiered discounts based on the quantity of products purchased. As customers buy more units, the price per unit decreases, encouraging larger orders.
This is different from Wholesale Pricing, which applies a fixed discount regardless of quantity. Volume Pricing specifically rewards bulk buying. For example:
- 1+ units: $100 each
- 50+ units: $90 each
- 100+ units: $85 each
Why merchants use?
- Increase average order value(AOV) — customers are motivated to add more items to reach the next price break.
- Clear stock faster — set case pack or pallet pricing to encourage large orders.
- Segment your customer base — offer different tier structures to different customer groups (for example, Gold customers see 10%/20%/30% off while Silver customers see 5%/10%/15%).
